Home Purchase and Renovation
We purchase and renovate single family homes in target neighborhoods. All renovations include complete bathroom and kitchen remodels, new paint, and new flooring.
Renting and Financial Coaching
The new tenant rents at a market rate while building his or her credit score working with a non-profit partner that provides one-on-one financial coaching.
Mortgage and Home Sale
When the tenant qualifies for traditional mortgage financing, he or she can purchase the home at a pre-determined, transparent price.
Awards and Recognition
LadderUp Housing has been recognized in numerous social impact competitions. LadderUp tied for first in the University of Miami Impact Investing in Commercial Real Estate case competition and tied for second in the Chicago Booth School of Business Social New Venture Challenge in 2021. That summer, LadderUp Housing participated in the University of Chicago Polsky Accelerator program.
In 2022, LadderUp was a finalist in the RTRX Veteran Pitch Competition. In his capacity as founder and CEO of LadderUp Housing, Tom was named a Tarrson Social Venture Fellow by the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation.
